Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

In the ongoing effort to support our local, county, and state partners, IEMA will provide information and specifics to coordinate current information:
 

  • Presidential Disaster Declaration for St. Clair County in Illinois for flooding for 2022
  • Presidential Disaster Declaration for Cook County in Illinois for severe weather in June/July 2023
  • The State of Illinois Disaster Proclamation for the Asylum Seekers in Illinois

Confirmed Tornadoes March 15th

Rock Island County appears to have the most significant damage from the storms, including damage to several homes. Power outages were also reported as a result of the storms. Staff from IEMA’s regional office is coordinating with local officials to facilitate any requests for state assistance, but there have been no requests at this time.

To help those affected by the tornadoes in Rock Island County:

Donations: The Rapids City Fire Protection District will be accepting donations to aid the families affected by the tornado in the Evergreen Village subdivision and surrounding areas in rural East Moline. Cash, check, food gift cards and Visa gift cards will allow the families to purchase items that they specifically need. No other donations will be accepted.

Mail or drop off donations to the Port Byron Village Hall between 9 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. A drop box is available for after-hours donations. Donations can also be mailed to: Rapid City Fire Protection District, ATTN: Tornado Relief, 120 South Main Street, P.O. Box 438, Port Byron, IL 61275.

Volunteer: As of 3/16/16, the Rock Island Sheriff’s Department indicates no volunteers are needed at this time. A volunteer registration team will be set up at the Heritage Center in Hampton, Illinois on Thursday morning (3/17/16).
