Homeland Security Posters/Videos

Greetings homeland security partners: 

With support from the Language Services Section at U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) "If You See Something, Say Something®" campaign has developed a suite of 11 translated products, each in 10 languages. Languages include Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), French, Haitian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, and Vietnamese. Downloadable materials can be found on the translated outreach materials webpage and can be distributed throughout local communities, organizations, and on social media. An English bundle is included on the page for reference. 

Each package of translated resources includes three sets of posters, two graphics for website or advertising use, and three social media graphics. These materials are intended to help provide equitable access to the “If You See Something, Say Something®” message, increasing the size of an alert and informed U.S. public. We welcome you sharing these materials with your audiences and appreciate your assistance in promoting the campaign. 

“If You See Something, Say Something®” is a national campaign that raises public awareness of the indicators of terrorism, terrorism-related crime, and domestic violent extremism, as well as the importance of reporting suspicious activity to state and local law enforcement. Informed, alert communities play a critical role in keeping our nation safe. This video was researched, developed, and produced by the students, staff and alumni of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois. The video, commissioned by the Illinois Terrorism Task Force was produced at no cost to taxpayers of the State of Illinois.

The purpose of the video is to make citizens aware of the seven signs they should look for if they suspect a terrorism plot is being planned or under way. The video is also designed to help citizens become active participants in protecting our homeland security effort. Subject matter presented in the video includes information about terrorists conducting surveillance, acquiring supplies, and going through trial runs of an attack.
