Winter Storm Warnings for Areas Along and North of I-80
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for areas along and north of I-80 for Thursday (2/8/18) evening through Friday (2/9/18) evening. Snow predictions range from 6-14”, with the highest amounts expected in the Chicago area. Snowfall rates of 1-2” per hour expected in that area. This snow event will make travel difficult/impossible. People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during this weather event. If you must travel, have an emergency supply kit in your vehicle, use extreme caution and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
