Possible online services disruption due to Internet related outage

A worldwide technology outage is causing disruption to some State of Illinois online systems.  We are aware of this issue and are diligently working on restoration.

In the ongoing effort to support our local, county, and state partners, IEMA will provide information and specifics to coordinate current information:
 

  • Presidential Disaster Declaration for St. Clair County in Illinois for flooding for 2022
  • Presidential Disaster Declaration for Cook County in Illinois for severe weather in June/July 2023
  • The State of Illinois Disaster Proclamation for the Asylum Seekers in Illinois

Winter Storm Warnings for Areas Along and North of I-80

Press Release – Thursday, February 8, 2018

The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for areas along and north of I-80 for Thursday (2/8/18) evening through Friday (2/9/18) evening. Snow predictions range from 6-14”, with the highest amounts expect​ed in the Chicago area. Snowfall rates of 1-2” per hour expected in that area. This snow event will make travel difficult/impossible. People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during this weather event. If you must travel, have an emergency supply kit in your vehicle, use extreme caution and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
